Morning news brief: April 16, 2024
Days after Iran launched an unprecedented attack on Israel in response to the latter's alleged role in the bombing of Tehran's embassy in Damascus, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu urged his country's allies to 'stand united' as Israel also confirmed a response to the Iran attack. Among other consequential developments,NASA's quest to bring back rock samples from Mars to Earth to study traces of any existence of life is going through a huge overhaul.

The war cabinet of Israel held a meeting to discuss and decide how they would respond to the missile and drone attack of Iran. Israel did not announce if they had reached a decision.
The actions of Iran were strongly condemned by the allies of Israel, however, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government was appealed by the countries to show some restraint.
