Osbourne will kick off the last tour in cities of Mexico, South America and Europe

Black Sabbath star Ozzy Osbourne will kickstart last tour of his life this spring but will continue performing gigs around the world, he confirmed on Tuesday.

In a statement, Ozzy Osbourne exclaimed:"Will it really have been 40 years that I've been solo? Yeah, I guess that's right. It's gone so quickly."

Speaking about his upcoming tour called "No More Tours 2" which is a throwback to his ill-fated retirement bid called "No More Tours" in the nineties, Ozzy said that he will kick off the latest and possibly his last tour this spring with dates inMexico, South America and Europe.

As reported by a leading magazine, Ozzy said,"I'm not retiring. It's 'No More Tours,' so I'm just not doing world tours anymore. I'm still going to be doing gigs, but I'm not going on tour for six months at a time anymore. I'd like to spend some time at home."

He explained the reason for not doing any more tours as a "balancing"act in life. He said,"I've experienced fantastic things; it's been an incredible journey. I just need to slow it down a little. I enjoy being a grandfather. I don't want to go through another generation of Osbournes without seeing them grow up (referring to how he missed seeing his own children growing up)."

But that doesn't mean that he will let loose of his own passion for music and added: "If you know an Ozzy Osbourne concert, you know I don't stand there with my thumb up my butt.I'm rock & roll. The more fun that [the fans] have, the more fun I have. Believe it or not, Zakk is the guitar player I've played with the longest since Sabbath. I don't know what it is about him that works so well, but I'm very glad it does."

Speaking about songs, he said, "I haven't really sat down and written it down, but of course I have to do 'Paranoid' and 'Crazy Train'. I want to do 'Mama, I'm Coming Home' and 'No More Tears.' I have a lot of songs to choose from. I was thinking about doing [Bark at the Moon's] 'Waiting for Darkness.' That's quite a good song to do. I've never done that onstage."

"No More Tours 2" is slated to kickstart on April 27 this year.
