
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has reportedly been reelected for a second term withover 90% of votes, Egypt media reported stating preliminary results.
According to the report of Reuters, Sisi is leading with 21.5 million of votes.
The voting was ended on Wednesday and reports say that out of 60 million registered voters, 23 million voters voted for their candidate.
The further reports say that this election will be an easy win for Sisi as most of his challengers were either arrested or intimidated.
The only competition Sisi is facing is with El-Ghad Party leader Moussa Mostafa Moussa who reportedly has received 721,000 votes so far.
Before the elections, some voters have reported of receiving payments and other inducements to cast their ballots.
The final result of the election will come on Monday.
