US President Donald Trump backed the police officer who was charged with the murder of a black man in Atlanta, adding that police in the country have not been "treated fairly".
Garrett Rolfe was arrested on Thursday in the killing of Rayshard Brooks, who was shot dead in Atlanta last week.
"I thought it was a terrible situation, but you can't resist a police officer," Trump said in an interview with Fox News.
"I hope he gets a fair shake because police have not been treated fairly in our country."

Brooks' death came at a time when the unrest is growing in the country over the unfair treatment given to the black community by the police, which was triggered by the death of George Floyd while in custody in Minneapolis.
Brooks' was allegedly killed after he was shot in the back outside a fast-food restaurant as he was running away from arrest. The matter also got escalated as the 27-year-old was kicked while he was lying on the ground bleeding.
