
In a disturbing event in the Indian stateof Bihar's Supaul district, a five-year-old nursery student opened fire on a 10-year-old Class 3 student. The shocking incident occurred in a private school located in the district'sLalpatti area of north Bihar.
Authorities have revealed that the young nursery student brought a firearm to school, concealed within his bag. The situation has raised serious concerns about school safety and the accessibility of weapons.
Superintendent of Police Shaishav Yadavshared the details of the incident, stating, "The student fired at a 10-year-old boy, who studies in the same school in Class 3. The bullet hit his arm."
The police are investigating how the young child obtained the firearm and brought it to the school.
"The injured boy has been rushed to a hospital.We are trying to find out how the boy got to lay his hands on the firearm and managed to carry it to the private school which is situated in the Lalpatti area," Yadav added.
To prevent similar incidents, SP Yadav mentioned, "We are also asking schools across the district to ensure that bags of students are checked thoroughly on a regular basis. The incident has caused much anxiety among parents and guardians."
