Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath has distributed a cheque of Rs 4 lakh to the kin of people who died in the dust storm in Agra's Fatehabad on Wednesday.
Yogi Adityanath said, " Relief has been provided to the affected. Kin of those who died have been given Rs 4 lakh as ex-gratia and the injured are given free treatment in hospitals".
Yogi Adityanathrushed back to Uttar Pradesh from Karnatakaon Fridaynight wherehe was scheduled to address election rallies till Saturday.
The Chief Minister had cut short his election tour after opposition attacked him for staying away from his own state even after the storm claimed 75 lives in Uttar Pradesh.
About 40 people died in the thunderstorm in Agra on Wednesday.
After visiting Agra, the CM is set to visitKanpur and other areas affected by the dust storm.
