Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday held a meeting with Chinese State Councillor and Defence Minister General Wei Fenghe, news agency ANI reported.
PM Modi stated that maintenance of peace and tranquillity on the India-China border indicates "sensitivity and maturity" with which the two countries handle their differences. He also termed India-China ties as a factor of global stability.
The Prime Minister appreciated the increased momentum of high-level contacts between India and China in all spheres, especially in the areas of defence and military exchanges.
During the meeting, PM Modi also recalled his recent meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping at the Wuhan summit in China.
