Pakistan foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Monday claimed that India called for dialogues with Pakistan, which Indian government sources have denied.

Qureshi also said on Monday that Kashmir remains an issue and it needed to be acknowledged. "We need uninterrupted dialogue with India and need to engage," he said. 

"I want to tell the Indian foreign minister that we are not just neighbors, we are atomic powers. We have a lot of common resources," he added. 

Cricketer-turned-politician and PTI chief Imran Khan swore-in as the new prime minister on Saturday. 

In the July 25 general elections, the PTI had emerged as the single largest party with 116 seats. 

The number increased to 158 in the NA after the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) issued notifications of the successful candidates on the reserved seats for women and the minority community on August 11.
