Aam Aadmi Party's MLA, Saurabh Bhardwaj, on Sunday noted that the party does not expect people or "parties from other states" to support them, however, the incident of Chief Ministers from four states supporting their protest is a matter of pride.
"We aren't expecting people or parties from other states to come in our support but 4 CMs have come in our support, for the youngest political party. This is a matter of pride for us. They have come in support of the rights of the people of Delhi," Bhardwaj noted.
Four chief ministers of non-BJP-ruled states — Mamata Banerjee, Pinarayi Vijayan, Chandrababu Naidu, and HD Kumaraswamy — had written to the LG on Saturday asking that they be allowed to visit Kejriwal at Raj Niwas. The chief ministers are in town for a NITI Aayog meeting due to take place today.
When permission was denied to them, they visited Kejriwal's home on Saturday as a show of solidarity with him.
