Bulandshahr violence: Adityanath declares solatium of Rs 40 lakh to wife of deceased cop

Uttar Pradesh Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday declared a compensation of Rs 40 lakh to wife, Rs 10 lakh for parents and a government job for a kin of the Police Inspector Subodh Kumar who died in violence in Bulandshahr. 

The CM announced the compensation after Kumar died in violence that broke out over an alleged illegal slaughter of cattle. 

The protesters from Mahaw village and nearby areas allegedly pelted stones on the police and indulged in arson setting several vehicles and the Chingarwathi Police Chowki on fire.


Inspector Kumar, who was posted at the Syana Police Station, died in the violence. 

A 20-year-old youth, identified as Sumit died of gun-shot wounds.

The trouble started after villagers found some body parts of the cow and its progeny in a jungle in Mahaw village.
