On Sunday (Jul 21), US President Joe Biden announced that he was stepping back from the presidential race and endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democrat nominee for the elections slated to take place in November.

Soon after Biden endorsed Harris as the Democratic nominee, the internet was flooded with a range of reactions. Amid this, some users were quick to bring the famous American sitcom The Simpsons back into the discussion.

The world is well versed in the weird history of The Simpsons predicting the future and now that Harris' name has emerged as a potential Democrat nominee, netizens have come forward with a claim that the classic show has once again foretold the future. 

Did The Simpsons predict Kamala Harris as the future US president?

After Biden's withdrawal and Kamala Harris' name coming up in the presidential race, a wave of social media reactions came in. However, what had many talking was an episode of The Simpsons that had Lisa becoming the President of the United States. 

Pointing out the uncanny similarities between Kamala Harris and Lisa, many were shocked to see how The Simpsons predicted the US' recent political scenario decades ago.

The Simpsons episode titled ''Bart to the Future,'' which aired in March 2000, showed Lisa becoming the President of the United States, while Bart is a White House freeloader.

The particular episode showed Donald Trump as a future president and had Lisa Simpson becoming his successor, the first female US president. What's even more bizarre is that Lisa is wearing the same purple outfit that Harris wore during her sworn-in ceremony as Vice President in 2021. 

The same clip went viral back in 2021 when Harris became VC. However, the only difference was that Lisa was the President and Harris was sworn in as Vice President. However, now it seems that Simpson's prediction may become true if Asian-origin Harris becomes the POTUS.
