American actress Sharon Stone has been sued for damages over $35,000 she allegedly caused during a minor car collision last year. The Basic Instinct actress has been accused of driving at high speeds and making "unsafe car manoeuvres" that resulted in a crash, injuring a woman.

According to People, Amanda Godepski filed a motor vehicle complaint in Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday for property damage and personal injury. She is seeking compensatory damages.

The complaint alleges that the actress violated at least three California vehicle codes, including driving too fast for traffic conditions, unsafe turning movement and unsafe lane change.

The incident allegedly occurred on June 30, 2023, southbound on the US Route 101 freeway off-ramp at Coldwater Canyon Avenue in Los Angeles.

Stone has given unforgettable performances as a femme-fatal woman in several films. She won accolades at the Golden Globes and Primetime Emmys. She was also nominated for an Academy Award for her performance in the 1996 film Casino.

In a conversation with Alex Salmond on Turkish Tea Talk on Thursday, Stone said "we're all trying to confront our demons, and we're all acting out - me, too".

"To try to say, it has to be our leaders, well, which leader do you think that's going to be? It must start with the individual," Stone added, about the road to recovery. "You must stand strong, and when you blow it? OK, so what? That was two steps ago.

"You have to get back up, get yourself together and help whoever you think you bumped around, and keep moving forward - and instant forgiveness. Instant forgiveness for yourself," she further said.
