Matthew Perry's last words before death revealed in new court documents

Matthew Perry's final words before his death from the acute effects of ketamine have reportedly been revealed in fresh court documents. The actor asked his assistant Kenneth Iwamasa to help him take the ketamine drug thrice on the day he died. Perry reportedlytold her, "Shoot me up with a big one," referring to a dose of ketamine

Iwamasa has been indicted alongside four others, Jasveen Sangha, Mark Chavez, Salvador Plasencia, and Erik Fleming, on federal charges related to Perry’s death. Iwamasa pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute ketamine causing death.

On the day Perry died, Iwamasa allegedly administered three doses of ketamine to the actor. With the last dose being administered just 40 minutes before Perry was found unresponsive in his hot tub.

Prosecutors believe these injections led to Perry's death, though Iwamasa claims he administered 27 doses in the five days leading up to the incident, all under the instructions of Plasencia.

A source close to Perry told US Weekly that "Matthew kept secrets" and that Iwamasa may have been the only one aware of the severity of his addiction.

Perry had been open about his struggles with addiction in his 2022 memoir, Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing, where he discussed using ketamine to cope with pain and depression. He described the drug as something that seemed to "have his name written all over it."

"Has my name written all over it — they might as well have called it ‘Matty.’ It was something different, and anything different is good," the actor stated in the memoir.
