Karan Johar completes 'Dostana 2' cast with newcomer Lakshya, netizens ask who?

Karan Johar recently announced the much-awaited sequel to John Abraham, Priyanka Chopra and Abhishek Bachchan starrer hit film ‘Dostana’ as Kartik Aaryan and Janhvi Kapoor take over the mantle. The announcement also came with another revelation that a third actor or actress will be added to the cast as the first film too had three stars. 

Now, Karan has revealed who that third face will be and its Lakshya Lalwani. The filmmaker called him a “suitable boy” as he took to Twitter to share a photo of the newcomer. He captioned it, “Both happy and excited to introduce the new kid on the Dharma block! LAKSHYA will be making his debut with us in #DOSTANA2 and from thereon, we hope to start a solid cinematic journey together! Please welcome #Lakshya and shower him with all your love and blessings…”

Soon after this was announced, netizens started flooding Karan’s timeline so as to get more details on the newcomer. Most wanted to know if he has some inklings with the entertainment industry to which Karan wrote, “Yes I woke up to several inquiries asking about his film industry connections!!! He is NOT from the business and went through a legit audition process !! Am grateful to Shanoo Sharma for introducing LAKSHYA to @DharmaMovies.” 

Shanoo then shared the tweet and posted a message of gratitude as she wrote, “Gratitude always! I love you KJ ! Be blessed the whole team of #dostana2 Big massive love! @karanjohar @collindcunha @janhvikapoor @kartikaaryan @itslakshya.”

Meanwhile, Lakshya started his career via the small screen. He was formerly known as Laksh Lalwani and has been a part of shows like ‘Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil’, ‘Adhuri Kahaani Hamari’ and ‘Porus’.
