Inside Out 2 has now made it to the billion-dollar club.Released on June 14, Disney and Pixar's movie has become the first movie of the year to hit the milestone of$1 billion at the global box office.
The sequel to the 2015 hit movie opened with mindblowing numbers in the domestic as well as in the international market. The animated drama thatdelves into human emotions hasamassed$469.3 million in North America, becoming thehighest-grossing movie domestically. The movie has surpassed Timothee Chalamet's Dune: Part2($282.1 million) earningsin the United States.
In the international market, the movie has grossed$545.5 million, taking thetally to $1.015 billion. As the movie enters the billion-dollar club, it has become the highest-grossing movie of the year and the first film to earn $ 1 billion after Greta Gerwig's Barbie which earned$1.4 billion globally in 2023. The movie has become the fastestto achieve the feat.
