After months of tussle, Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery are now a single company, known as Skydance Corp.
Hours after the deal closed on Tuesday, US President Donald Trump reacted, calling David Ellison, chairman and CEO of the new company, and his father, Larry Ellison. For those unversed, Trump and the Ellison family share a good bond, and that is what many people feared.
“I’m happy about that. That’s great,” Trump told reporters Tuesday on the lawn of White House.

“It’s gonna be a great company. They’re terrific people, and it’s gonna be a great company,” Trump said. “That’s a great merger. I’m glad they let it go.”
