Swift, however, has not publicly confirmed who or what inspired either track.

Taylor Swift has once again given her fanbase plenty to analyse. The singer’s newly released The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore adds four songs to her 2025 album, with “Pink Clouding", “Patient Zero,” “Cleveland!” and “Babylon” now being closely examined by Swifties for possible Easter eggs and personal references. The singer released the new songs in India on September 25 at 9:30 am (matching the global midnight Eastern Daylight Time release).

The two tracks generating particular discussion are “Pink Clouding” and “Patient Zero", although the theories surrounding them are very different. One user wrote, "Patient Zero is a BOP and is my fav as predicted. Cleveland! is my second fav because it’s just so happy and as I always say happy Taylor is my favorite Taylor, also her dragging everyone lol. Pink Clouding lyrics is gorgeous and Babylon’s storytelling was everything!!"
