Country music legend Dolly Parton has died at age 80. The announcement was made on her official Instagram account via a video message from her nephew, Bryan Seaver, on behalf of the Parton family. The news comes months after she cancelled her Las Vegas residency.

Parton's death has been announced by her nephew, and soon after, tributes started pouring in from across the globe. From Taylor Swift, who called Dolly, a role model. To Beyoncé, who shared that the late singer, ''taught her so many lessons on how to be uniquely oneself.''

“A world without Dolly doesn’t feel possible, real, or right. But because of the eternally generous way she spent her time on this earth and the countless lives she changed for the better, her legacy will be an everlasting one,” the singer told the Hollywood Reporter.
“Dolly gave us someone to look up to while encouraging us to be who we are as individuals,” Swift’s statement continued.

The Queen Bee, who has worked with Parton on her new version of Jolene, paid tribute to her. In a statement, the singer wrote,“Dolly, you were the barometer. The north star. Bold and brilliant. Talented and tenacious. You taught so many lessons on how to be uniquely oneself. I am grateful for your art, your heart, your generosity, your humor, your entrepreneurship.''
