American singer-songwriter Barry Manilow, best known for hits like Could It Be Magic, Looks Like We Made It and many more, has sparked concern amongst his fans after he ended his Las Vegas concert performance a bit early and also cancelled his two follow-up shows as well. His team issued a statement later.

Why did Barry Manilow cancel his upcoming shows?

Barry Manilow announced that he will be cancelling further tour dates due to technical and vocal problems. This comes just days after his performance at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino on Thursday ended after just 40 minutes due to "technical difficulties".

Taking to social media, the veteran singer page read, "We're very sorry, but we have to cancel tonight and tomorrow performances. Due to technical and vocal problems, we're unable to put our show." The announcement sparked concern with fans, particularly since the star opened up about his diagnosis with lung cancer and his subsequent treatment.

Barry Manilow's health crisis

In December 2025, Manilow revealed that doctors had discovered a stage 1 cancerous tumour on his left lung. He subsequently underwent surgery to remove part of the lung. His official website said in February that he was recovering well and feeling great after the operation, but doctors recommended that he reschedule several Las Vegas performances while he continued to recover.

Manilow later returned to the stage, including performances during his farewell tour. Earlier this month, however, he also had to postpone a rescheduled concert in Lexington, Kentucky, citing “unforeseen circumstances".
