‘Invisible Woman’ originally came out in 1940 and followed the story of a department store model who becomes the test subject of an experiment that promises invisibility.

All Elizabeth Banks fans in the house have something exciting to look forward to as the actor-director-producer is ready to don all three hats for her next project titled ‘Invisible Woman’.

Elizabeth will star in a leading role in the film and direct her original take on the classic Universal film. She will produce the film with her husband Max Handelman via their Brownstone Productions.

‘Invisible Woman’ originally came out in 1940 and followed the story of a department store model who becomes the test subject of an experiment that promises invisibility. As she gets invisible, she gets back at her boss who was mean to her when she worked with him and eventually falls into a story that involves gangsters.

At the time ‘Invisible Woman’ was a comedy film which was followed by ‘The Invisible Man’ and ‘The Invisible Man Returns’ that had a horror-thriller treatment.

The new ‘Invisible Woman’ will have ‘The Girl on the Train’ writer Erin Cressida Wilson. She has written the current draft of the script.

As for Elizabeth’s direction, she made her debut behind the camera with 2015's ‘Pitch Perfect 2’ and most recently helmed the reboot of ‘Charlie's Angels’.
