For all those who have binge-watched the latest season of Netflix series ‘Stranger Things’ or have even seen the first few would know that the show has added a couple of new characters like the unmissable Robin to Steve as they work together at an ice cream parlour.

Well, Robin is Maya Hawke -- daughter of the former couple Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman.

The world was almost oblivious to Maya until the proud parents introduced her on their social media profiles, congratulating her on her work in the series. Ethan shared a video on his profile and wrote, "Some of you may have missed her in last year's BBC production of Little Women. Some of you may have missed her work at Juilliard. I know many missed out on numerous high school productions heck I even missed a few and I'm her father.

"Some of you may know her music, some may not. But Ladies and Gentleman, get to know MAYA HAWKE. She's the real thing. #StrangerThings."

Uma too took to her page and shared a picture of Maya as she wrote, “My victorious loving mermaid daughter. A weekend of triumph on Stranger Things. Congratulations beloved Maya.”

Maya, if you observe closely, is a spitting image of her parents, taking the best from both talented actors.

In a recent interview, Maya spoke about having the support of her parents as she said, “My parents are wonderful and really supportive and have given me a lot and I feel really grateful to have their support. And they both love the show and loved it before I was on it, so it’s fun.”

“I know my parents don’t B.S. me. They’re pretty rigorous in terms of their commentary when they like something or don’t,” she added.

Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke got married in 1998. They later divorced in 2005. They have a son apart from Maya.

Meanwhile, the third season of ‘Stranger Things’ started streaming on July 4.
