Birthday special: Akshay Kumar reunites with Priyadarshan for horror-comedy Bhooth Bangla

Akshay Kumar is celebrating his 57th birthday today, Sept 9. On his special day, the actor has atreat for his fans as he announced his next film Bhooth Bangla with none other than director Priyadarshan.
The new horror comedy will mark the reunion of Akshay and director Priyadarshan after 14 long years. The actor-director duo has given several hits like Hera Pheri, Garam Masala, Bhool Bhulaiyaa and more.

A day after teasing his fans with a big announcement, Akshay kicked off his birthday by revealing the first look of his forthcoming movie.
The eerie motion poster shows Akshay in a mysterious avatar as he can be seen standing in front of the horror mansion.
Sharing the poster, the actor wrote in the caption, ''Thank you for your love on my birthday, year after year! Celebrating this year with the first look of ‘Bhooth Bangla’! The movie will be released in the theatres in 2025.
More details about the movie such as plot details and cast have been kept under wraps. However, an inside source has told Bollywood Hungama that the movie will not only becomedy but also have horror, fantasy, and supernatural elements.
Priyadarshan and Akshay have given comedy cult classics likeBhagam Bhag, Hera Pheri, Garam Masala,Bhool Bhulaiyaa, and De Dana Dan.
"It's the most ambitious film from the combo of Akshay and Priyadarshan. Ekta Kapoor is going all out to give it the required scale and budget," the source told us further.
The movie is produced by Ektaa R Kapoor under the banner of Balaji Telefilms Ltd.
Akshay is currently witnessing a low phase in his career. One after the other, Kumar's films are not working well at the box office. This year, Akshay's three big releases - Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Sarfira and Khel Khel Mein, have failed to rake in big numbers.
