No one on the ground was injured, Beijing police said on Chinese social network Weibo. Four people onboard suffered minor injuries.
A civilian helicopter crashed into a parking lot in the Chinese capital on Monday (July 30) after the pilot managed to steer the aircraft away from crowded areas, the state-runBeijingYouth Daily said.
Witnesses said the helicopter spun around a number of times before plummeting nose-first to the ground at about 11am, the report said.
There were three men and one woman in the helicopter. The woman, who appeared to be a pilot, and a male passenger crawled out of the aircraft, reports said.
No one on the ground was injured,Beijingpolice said on Chinese social network Weibo. Four people onboard suffered minor injuries.
Bell Helicopter told Reuters the helicopter was a Bell 429 aircraft owned by Reignwood Star Aviation, adding it was investigating the cause of the crash.
The cause ofthe crash is currently being investigated.
