A day after Israel said they killed Hamas chief Yahya Sinwar, Deputy Gaza Hamas chief Khalil Al-Hayya confirmed Sinwar's death. "We mourn the great leader, the martyred brother, Yahya Sinwar, Abu Ibrahim," Khalil al-Hayya said in a recorded video statement broadcast by Al Jazeera. In other news, United States President Joe Biden met his German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier on Friday, marking the first official state visit by an American president since the German reunification. He called on NATO allies to continue supporting Ukraine amid its war with Russia as he began a farewell visit to Berlin on Friday, just weeks ahead of the presidential elections in the US.
