Authorities IN Mexico have found six severed heads along a road in central part of the country on August 19. In violence that is rare in this part of Mexico, the remains were first reported by drivers using a road that links the states of Puebla and Tlaxcala, the prosecutors said.
Police, the National Guard and the Jalisco State Prosecutor's Office deploy members to a cemetary in Tlaquepaque, in the western Mexican state of Jalisco, after the discovery of a suspected clandestine grave with human remains.
The remains were first reported by drivers using a road that links the states of Puebla and Tlaxcala, the prosecutors said. Meanwhile, a separate head and human remains were found in the western city of Colima. The heads found in Tlaxcala belonged to men, the prosecutor's office said. An investigation has been launched into the matter.

Meanwhile, several local media reports said that at the site of the grisly find, there was a pamphlet blaming the violence on a settling of scores between gangs that rob fuel.
Both locations where the human remains were found are known for homing gangs that deal in drugs and fuel. The region is known to be more prone to drug-related brutality in Mexico. In recent months, AFP reported, bodies have been found in areas near the border between the two states.
