Israel and Lebanon are on the cusp of a ceasefire deal to end the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hezbollah, Axios reported early Monday (Nov 25) citing Israeli and American officials. The expected ceasefire deal included a 60-day transition period during which Israeli troops would withdraw from southern Lebanon, and the Lebanese Army would be deployed in areas close to the border.

In India, the Winter Session of Parliament will begin later on Monday. Opposition parties will corner the Modi government on issues such as the Adani bribery case and the ongoing violence in Manipur.

In other news from around the world, the Congress in India has called Sunday's violence in the UP district of Sambhal a planned conspiracy. The violence in Sambhal erupted earlier on Sunday during a survey of the Shahi Jama Masjid. Three people were killed and 20 others were injured.
