In an interview with an American news website, Zuckerberg noted that one of the problems was that the company was 'idealistic'
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said that it will take "a few years" to the fix the aftermath of the data breach scandal.
He noted that the company was focusing on the positive aspects of connecting people and "didn't spend enough time investing in, or thinking through, some of the downsides uses of the tools."
"I think we will dig through this hole, but it will take a few years. I wish I could solve all these issues in three months or six months, but I just think the reality is that solving some of these questions is just going to take a longer period of time," he noted.
The Mark-Zuckerberg-led company has come under the scanner over user data breach of close to 50 million users.
Zuckerberg recently admitted to having "made mistakes" over the Cambridge Analytica scandal. He apologised for a "breach of trust" that had occurred between Facebook and its users.
