
President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has declared a three-day mourning in the wake of the Egypt mosque terrorist attack.
Sisi conducted an emergency security meeting with Defense Minister Sedki Sobhai and the head of General Intelligence, Khalid Fawazy, to talk about the precise steps to be taken following the deadly Al-Rawaada mosque attack.
On Friday Morning, a massive attack in Al-Rawada mosque, in the town of Beur El Abes, located in North Sinai’s Al-Arish took place killing 235 and over a 100 injured.
The improvised explosive device, targeted worshippers assembled for Friday prayers.
Sisi had met his security minister as authorities scrambled to rescue people trapped in the blast.
President al-Sisi pledged to respond with "brutal force". (ANI)
"The army and police will avenge our martyrs and return security and stability with force in the coming short period," the president said in a televised speech.
No organization has claimed responsibility for the attack.
