Rishabh Pant has been named in the 12-man squad for the first match of upcoming ODI Series against West Indies.
Rishabh Pant is all set to make his One-Day International debut as he has been named in the 12-man squad for the series opener announced by the BCCI today.
The 21-year-old will make his debut against West Indies in the first ODI of five-match series in Guwahati on October 21.
The ODIs will be played in Guwahati (October 21), Indore (October 24), Pune (October 27), Mumbai (October 29) and Thiruvananthapuram (November 1).
He has added as a batsman to fill number five spot with MS Dhoni playing as the wicket-keeper.
Pant took to Twitter to reveal his excitement, he wrote, "Always ready to give my 100 per cent on a cricket field. Cannot wait to take on the West Indies in the first ODI on Sunday!."
In the previous two months, Pant has played some impressive innings which why he has been given this chance.
KL Rahul is not included in the squad.
In bowling unit, three spinners, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal, are there.
Also, three pacers, Umesh Yadav, Mohammed Shami and Khaleel Ahmed, have been selected for the upcoming ODI series against Werst Inmdies.
