Left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja on Wednesday was rushed to hospital after symptoms of viral were found. According to BCCI, he had been suffering from the illness for the past two days and his involvement in the first Test, starting January 5, is not confirmed. The management will take a call on the morning of the first Test in Cape Town. However, batsman Shikhar Dhawan has recovered from his ankle injury and is available for selection in the first of the three-match Test series against South Africa. Dhawan suffered the injury before the team's departure to South Africa, last week. If Jadeja is unable to play, then skipper Virat Kohli will go in with the offspinner R Ashwin as the lone specialist spinner. India will play three Tests in South Africa, followed by six ODIs and three Twenty20 Internationals.
