
Suspended Aam Aadmi Party legislator was on Wednesday manhandled in Delhi Assembly by members of the AAP before being marshalled out of the house.
Kapil Mishra, who was suspended from the party after he levelled corruption allegations against Delhi chief minister and AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal, was marshalled out of Assembly after a scuffle between him and other AAP MLAs.The incident occurred after the sacked Delhi water minister demanded that he be allowed to speak in the house.
SpeakerRam Niwas Goel was seen ordering Mr Mishra to leave the house. When the AAP legislators attacked Mishra, the Speaker told the marshals to escort him outside. "No maar-peet (beating) will happen here", Goel said.
Mishra later claimed he was attacked by AAP members when he tried to raise the issue of alleged corruption in the Delhi government.
"I wanted a chance to speak in the house. When I was not allowed, I demanded that a should be called at the Ram Lila ground to expose the scams of Arvind Kejriwal and Satyendra Jain (fellow minister) tokeep the facts before the people. When I started speaking and took a few steps from my seat, four-fivelegislators started beating me," Kapil Mishra said.
A day earlier, the sacked Delhi water minister had sought the intervention of Delhi Lt Governor Anil Baijal over an alleged scam in the city's health department over the purchase of medicines by the AAP government.
Kapil Mishra was suspended from the AAP after his startling allegation that he witnessed Kejriwal accepting Rs 2 crore from fellow minister Satyendra Jain.
