Watch: Man climbs tower in Delhi to demand special status for Andhra Pradesh

A man climbed all the way to the top of the tall tower near Metro Bhawan demanding special status for Andhra Pradesh on Friday. 

It was raining across the city when he decided to sit on the tower while holding a banner, which read, ''AP need special status.'' 

Due to the monsoon, it was a life-risk for him as the top of the building was slippery which panicked security personnel.

After police officials reached the spot they tried to convince him to climb down.  

There has been raging political battle regarding over giving special status to Andhra Pradesh, with TDP previously walking out of NDA and accusing the government of not keeping its promise. 

During the no-confidence motion last week in Lok Sabha, TDP's Jaydev Galla had said that separating Andhra from Telangana is unfair to Telugu people.
