Naidu was accompanied by Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit, Union Minister Pon Radhakrishnan, and state fisheries minister D Jayakumar. Naidu also met Karunanidhi's son MK Stalin, other family members, and the doctors treating Karunanidhi to enquire about the treatment being given to the DMK chief.
News reports quoted Naidu as saying the doctors had told him Karunanidhi's condition is now stable.
