Vice-president Venkaiah Naidu will visit DMK president M Karunanidhi in Kavery Hospital in Chennai on Sunday.

The 94-year-old former CM is continuously being monitored and treated by the panel of expert doctors in the Intensive Care Unit, the report further said.

Reports said the Naidu will reach the hospital after attending a programme at M S Swaminathan Research Foundation in Taramani, reports said. 

The DMK Chief has been admitted to Kauvery hospital's Intensive Care Unit (ICU). 

Jayakumar said it was political decency for the ruling party to visit Karunanidhi's residence, adding that a DMK delegation visited the Apollo hospitals here when former chief minister J Jayalalithaa was undergoing treatment in 2016.

Earlier, DMK Working President and son of the ailing leader, MK Stalin said that Karunanidhi’s health is improving. The DMK leader also thanked President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress president Rahul Gandhi among others for their concern and praying for Karunanidhi’s recovery.
