Uttarakhand: 14 dead, 18 injured after bus falls into 250-metre gorge

Fourteen people have died and 18 have been injured after a bus fell into a 250-metre-deep gorge near Uttarakhand's Suryadhar.

Six of the injured are critical.The injured have been admitted to AIIMS, Rishikesh.

All the injured have been rescued, saidSanjay Guniyal, IG, State Disaster Response Force. He added that operation to recover the bodies are underway.

Guniyal said local administration, police, and SDRF teams were present on the spot.

The Uttarakhand Transport Corporation bus bus skidded off the Rishikesh Gangotri highway before falling into the gorge.
