SC judges upset over Justice Joseph's appointment, will meet CJI today

Justice Joseph is set to take oath on Tuesday along with Justice Indira Banerjee and Justice Vineet Saran.
Supreme Court judges, who are upset with the Centre for altering Justice Joseph's seniority, will be meeting CJI Dipak Misra today.
According to reports, SC judges, including Collegium members, will meet Chief Justice Dipak Misra today to discuss the issue.
The presidential notification listed Justice Joseph at number three in terms of his seniority making him the most junior judge in the apex court.
Justice KM Joseph was appointed as a Supreme Court judge on Saturday after much to and fro. Top court judges were angered when the appointment notification placed him below the other two appointed judges -- Justice Indira Banerjee and Vineet Saran.
Joseph's name was returned by the government after the Supreme Court collegium first recommended it and was only cleared after the collegium sent it back.
Justice Joseph's elevation to Supreme Court was recommended by the collegium in January and was flagged again on July 17 describing him as one of the ablest and most suitable candidatesfor the office.
