Janata Dal-United leader Sharad Yadav has hinted on forming a big alliance for the upcoming elections in 2019.

He said that the opposition was working towards uniting against the BJP.

Referring to the BJP led NDA government he said that the country was in danger and that the current government should be out of power in 2019.

Earlier this month, former Congress President Sonia Gandhi also hosted a dinner for leader of the major opposition parties.

Those who were present on the occasion included Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar, Samajwadi Party's Ramgopal Yadav, Bahujan Samaj Party's Satish Mishra, Rashtriya Janata Dal's Tejashwi Yadav, Hindustani Awam Morcha's Jitan Ram Manjhi and National Conference's Omar Abdullah including Sharad Yadav.

The dinner was seen as an attempt to set the tone for opposition unity in the run-up to the next general elections.
