A manwas allegedly beaten to death in Haryana's Palwal district on Friday night on suspicion of cattle theft.
According to reports, the man's legs and hands were tied while he was being thrashed by three men, identified as Beer Singh, Prakash and Ram Kishan in Bahrola village in Palwal.
The assailants have alleged that the unidentified victim had come to steal cattle along with two other men who fled from the spot.
News agency PTI reported while quoting SHO Devender of Palwal Sadar police station, that the victim was caught by three brothers on the intervening night of August 2 and 3 while he was allegedly trying to steal cattle from the yard belonging to their father.
The victim was allegedly cutting the nets put over the cattle when he was caught, PTI reported, adding that injury marks were found on the victim's hands and neck.
The police have registered a murder case against the trio and arrested Ram Kishan. The body of the victim has also been sent for a post-mortem.

The country in recent years is seeing a growing number of mob lynching case coming from various states.
In the latest incident, 28-year-old man name Rakbar Khan in Alwar district was lynched last month over the suspicion of cattle smuggling.
This case was the third lynching case in Alwar within a year.
According to a report by news agency Reuters, data portal IndiaSpend has tallied more than 30 deaths from nearly 70 such incidents since January 2017.
Earlier in July also, 25 people were arrested for being part of a mob that lynched a 32-year-old man following the rumours spread over an instant messaging platform Whatsapp that he was a child abductor.
