Jat leaders threaten another quota protest in Delhi

Jat leader Yashpal Malik said on Sunday that if Haryana government did not agree to their demands, they will hold yet another protest and many would travel to Delhi on tractors and trolleys to take part in the protest.

''If Haryana government does not agree to our demands then we will hold a protest and many will come to Delhi on tractors and trolleys for the protest,'' the Jat leader said in Rohtak.

The call for the renewed agitation has been given by the Jat leader after Haryana high court stayed the reservation for the Jat community in jobs and educational institutes under the other backward caste (OBC) category.

Meanwhile, Union Minister Chaudhary Birender Singhexpressed the hope that Jats would get the reservation.

''There is a chance that we will get the reservation and also get through the judicial scrutiny. When Gujjars & Yadavs can get the reservation then why can't we,''Chaudhary Birender Singh in Rohtak yesterday.
