A group of terrorists on Tuesday attacked CRPF party at Batmaloo in Jammu and Kashmir's Srinagar.
According to reports, the attack has injured at least two whereas one jawaan has succumbed to injuries. More details are awaited. The attack occurred near a sensitive area with a Police headquarters meters away from the spot of the incident.
The terrorists fired upon the security forces' party at a check-post near Batamaloo area of the city, a police official said. The injured have been moved to the nearest hospital.
In another incident, a 10-year-old boy was critically injured when an unexploded shell went off near the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir today.
Ashiq Hussain was injured when he reportedly started fiddling with some unexploded ammunition in Shahpur sector, a defence spokesman said.
He was rushed to a civilian hospital where doctors referred him to Government Medical College Jammu for specialised treatment, PTI reported.
There was no report of any casualty in the incident, officials noted.
