The Flood situation in Mizoram showed a slight improvement on Saturday with water level of rivers Tlawng and Langkaih receding.
The officials of the Disaster Management and Rehabilitation department however said that about 500 families were displaced and a number of houses were still under the water.
The situation also improved a little in Tripura, though over 40,000 people continue to remain stranded in 189 relief camps across the state.
Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb visited the worst hit area of the state has scheduled a review meeting with heads of all line departments - PWD, Water Resources, Health and Family Welfare.
He also directed the officials to reach out to the marooned people with relief materials and medical aids at the earliest.
The Deputy Secretary of Revenue Department said that the chief minister had two IAF choppers have already been pressed into service to distribute food, water and medicines in "flood-battered" Kailashahar subdivision.
