COVID-19 testing to be tripled in next 6 days, says Amit Shah

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday said that coronavirus testing will be doubled in the next couple of days in Delhi and tripled in six days.
Shah made the remarks following his meeting with Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan, Delhi LG Anil Baijal and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
Modi government is committed to contain the spread of COVID-19 in Delhi, he said
''Today, several important decisions were taken to protect people of Delhi and to prevent this infection. in the meeting held with Harsh Vardhan, LG Anil Baijal and Kejriwal,'' Shah noted.
Shah also said that the Centre would allot 500 railway coaches into COVID-19 beds to meet the shortage of beds in the capital.

''Given the shortage of beds for COVID-19 patients in Delhi, Modi government at Center has decided to immediately give 500 railway coaches to Delhi. These railway coaches won't only increase 8000 beds in Delhi but these coaches will be equipped with all facilities to fight the virus,'' he said.
Delhi CM tweeted about the meeting and said that he had an extremely productive meeting.
''Extremely productive meeting betn Del govt and Central govt. Many key decisions taken. We will fight against corona together,'' he tweeted.
