According to reports, two Border Security Force (BSF) constables were killed in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast in Chhattisgarh's Kanker district on Monday.

The incident took place at around 5:00 pm near south of Marbeda camp.

The two deceased, Santosh Laxman and Vijaynand Nayak, were posted under the paramilitary force's 121 Battalion and hailed from Karnataka. Both of them were deployed on area domination duty.

Last month, two jawans of 231 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were injured in an IED blast by the Naxals in Dantewada.

In May, six jawans were killed and one was injured in an IED blast in Dantewada's Cholnar village.
