The media reports also stated that the doctors noticed a sharp drop in his pulse rate on Sunday evening.
Tight security has been beefed up outside the DMK headquarters and Kauvery hospital, where Karunanidhi is admitted.
Karunanidhi was admitted to thehospital from Gopalapuram residence in Chennai around 1:30 AM on Saturday following a sudden drop in blood pressure.
Meanwhile, DMK leader A Raja requested the crowd to maintain calm and asked them to not to believe on rumours.
