Cannes 2018: Aishwarya Rai channels modern princess in crystallised mint dress

When they say experience matters, they mean Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and her on-point fashion game at the Cannes. Raising temperature yet again, Aishwarya rocked a modern twist to a fairytale princess dress as she walked the red carpet on her second appearance this year at the prestigious film festival on Sunday.

This marks her attendance for the 17th year in a row.

On Day 1, Aishwarya impressed one and all with her butterfly-style mermaid gown that was rich in colours and texture as her entire bodice and train was heavily embedded with shimmer and crystals. On Day 2, the diva opted for a simple yet classy gown that hugged her body from the front and had a train, though shorter than the previous one, that highlighted her frame.

She looked stunning in a Rami Kadi crystallized mint-coloured dress that had a geometric neckline, one that Aishwarya has never experimented with before. This was for the premiere of the film “Sink or Swim”. Aishwarya completed the look with light pink lipstick, a structural bun and highlighted eyes.

She had worn Rami Kadi at Cannes 2016 as well, the same appearance where her purple lips had grabbed attention and got everyone talking.

On the professional front, the actress will next be seen in "Fanne Khan"also starring Anil Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, while she is also in talks for remakes of "Woh Kaun Thi?"and "Raat Aur Din".
