Maheep Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor's daughter Shanaya Kapoor was set to make her Bollywood debut with Karan Johar-backed Bedhadak. Announced in 2022, the movie unfortunately got shelved and had a deep impact on Shanaya.
In the new season of Netflix's Fabulous Lives Vs Bollywood Wives, Maheep can be seen discussing the tough time she has gone through in the last year as she talkedabout how she distanced herself from another show star and her friend Seema Sajdeh.
In the last episode of the show when Karan calls up Maheep and Seema to clear the misunderstandings that they are going through.

She says in the show, “I was going through my own madness in my head. I had exposed myself to my old parents, and Shanaya (after contracting COVID-19). We all fell down like ninepins. Understand the trauma that I was going through after Rekha (Maheep’s house help) had passed away, when doctors are saying that my old mother needs to go into hospital.”
She added, “Shanaya’s film didn’t start. She was traumatised. You had to intervene.”
Apart from Shanaya, the movie also starred Gurfateh Pirzada, and Lakshya. Shashank Khaitaan was on board as a director of the movie. No reason was revealed behind the movie's cancellation.
In this season, Maheep also talked about how Sridevi and Mona Kapoor's death affected her kids.
Recalling the time when her sugar level was up to 700 and was hospitalised immediately. Talking to her husband, she said how their children Shanaya and Jahaan were deeply affected.
“I’ve not ever told you about the children (Shanaya, Jahaan). And how they dealt with the whole situation,” she told her husband, Sanjay, adding, “I could see it on their faces when I woke up in the ICU, they were scared. You know, somewhere, with that happened with Sri (Sridevi) and Mona, it’s affected the kids so deeply, they were in shock.”
For the unversed, Sanjay’s brother Boney Kapoor’s first wife, Mona (mother of Arjun and Anshul Kapoor), died in 2012. His second wife, Sridevi (mother of Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor), died in 2018.
