The filmmakers have high hopes for the third instalment of the franchise, especially after Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 achieved blockbuster status in 2022, a challenging year for Bollywood. This year, the horror-comedy genre saw another success with Stree 2, which performed exceptionally well at the box office. Following the success of Shraddha Kapoor's movie, many fans are optimistic that Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 will be equally successful. When asked about the box office expectations, Kartik Aaryan shared that he doesn’t feel pressured.

When compared to other big box office hits, Kartik told Indian Express, “There is mathematics behind it. Like what is the team, what was their last film, what is their next, who is the audience coming to see? Is it the biggest date of the year, are there many holidays in the run? There are several calculations, which you as well as the industry is looking at. When these things are well calculated, you don’t take the pressure of it.”

Explaining further, the actor went on to talk about his journey, saying that he never got a Rs 500 cr director.

“In my journey, I’ve never had anything handed to me. I had to make the plate myself; no one came to me with a platter. No one got me a Rs 500 cr director when I started, I worked with all debut directors. So, I haven’t been that lucky, but I know from where my margin can rise. If I am still giving that number, I am content with that.''
