Farah Khan responds to charges of sexual harassment against brother Sajid Khan

Multiple women have accused filmmaker Sajid Khan of sexual harassment. Two actresses and a journalist have given detailed accounts of how Sajid had misbehaved with them on different occasions. 

Now, Sajid's sister, well-known choreographer and filmmaker Farah Khan has responded to the accusations that have been levied on her brother.
 
Farah took to Twitter and said she stands in solidarity with all those women who have been violated. "This is a heartbreaking time for my family.We have to work through some very difficult issues. If my brother has behaved in this manner he has a lot to atone for. I don’t in any way endorse this behavior and Stand in solidarity with any woman who has been hurt.”

Sajid and Farah’s cousin, actor, filmmaker Farhan Akhtar aslo responded to the charges against the filmmaker and wrote, “I cannot adequately stress how shocked, disappointed and heartbroken I am to read the stories about Sajid’s behaviour.  I don’t know how but he will have to find a way to atone for his alleged actions.”

Earlier in the day, Sajid Khan issued a statement stating that he was stepping away from ‘Housefull 4’ a film he was directing. “In the wake of the allegations against me and the pressure being put on my family, my producers and the stars of my film ‘Houseful 4’, I must take the moral responsibility of stepping down from my directorial post, till the time I can allay the allegations and prove the truth.” 

Akshay Kumar, one of the lead actors of the film also issued a statement after the incidents against Sajid Khan came to light. Kumar wrote, “I have just landed in the country last night and reading all the news has been really very disturbing. I've requested the producers of Housefull 4 to cancel the shoot until further investigation. This is something that requires stringent action.”
