The Olympics' opening ceremony is going to be a memorable night. Paris Summer Games will commence on Friday (July 26) with the star-studded ceremony, and if reports are to be believed, two legendary singers Celine Dion and Lady Gaga are set to perform a duet on the opening night.

Lady Gaga and Celine Dion's Performance

While nothing has been officially confirmed, as per the reports, the two icons will be sharing the stage to perform Édith Piaf's classic “La Vie en Rose.” 

French journalist Thierry Moreau has shared this exciting news. Taking to X, Moreau wrote that Dion and Gaga will sing the Édith Piaf's classic “La Vie en Rose.”

He wrote, ''Evening news:?@celinedionand @ladygaga rehearsed “La vie en rose” by Edith Piaf as a duet. Celine Dion will be dressed by Dior with a pink and black feather cape…''

Rumours are rife that the legendary singer Dion is set to make her stage comeback after she took a break following her Stiff Person Syndrome diagnosis in December 2022. The Canadian singer has arrived in France’s capital and has shared a carousel of beautiful pictures.

In the caption, she wrote, “Every time I return to Paris, I remember there’s so much beauty and joy still to experience in the world.  I love Paris, and I’m so happy to be back! Thank you to our wonderful friends at The Louvre!”

Lady Gaga is also rumoured to take the stage on the River Seine in Paris. However, her team has not confirmed anything about her performance yet. 

This would be Gaga's first televised performance since the 95th Academy Awards, where she performed ''Hold My Hand.'' 

Apart from Celine and Gaga, singers like Dua Lipa, Ariana Grande and French singer Aya Nakamura among others are also rumoured to perform at the Summer Olympics.

In India, the Paris Olympics will be telecast live on the Sports 18 network and will be streamed LIVE on Jio Cinema from 11:30 pm IST on July 26.
