Marvel has re-released their latest film ‘Avengers: Endgame’ for fans with some new footage in select North American theatres. While this is not known whether the re-release will happen everywhere around the world but we do know of two reasons why they have brought the mega-hit film back to the theatres -- to get past worldwide box office record of James Cameron’s ‘Avatar’ and to build up hype for their next film ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’.

As for the new footage that the film has, it will show a tribute for Stan Lee. It’s not new and has been cut by taking clips from the various cameos he did during his life in Marvel films. It has a callback to the famous line, “I love you 3000” which has now been changed to “Stan, we love you 3000”.

The footage features a deleted scene that has Hulk --many speculate that it could be his introduction shot as it has a perfect balance of Mark Ruffalo’s character Hulk merged with his alter-ego, Bruce Banner.

He is seen rescuing citizens from a burning building and seems to share an easy relationship with the fire-fighters. In one he is shown getting a phone call as he answers, “Steve who?”, referring to Steve Rogers who calls him for a meeting with Natasha and Scott Lang.

The final scene is from Spider-Man: Far From Home. Nick Fury and Maria Hill are shown at a remote town in Mexico. Nick learns of a cyclone with a face destroying the lives of people and property, though Hill is unconvinced. This is when Jake Gyllenhaal’s character Mysterio arrives and warns Fury and Hill that they do not want anything to do with the monster.

Meanwhile, ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ will release on July 4 in India, and on July 5 worldwide.
